Prerequisite:

Home
Edition
or

machine.
- You
must
also
have
administrative
privileges
for
Policy
Central
Professional
Server
to
install
properly.

Server:
|
-
Shut down or exit all running applications, including virus
protection programs.
- Insert the
Policy Central
Professional CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive. The
Policy Central Professional installation runs automatically.
If the installation does not automatically start, open My
Computer. Then open the CD-ROM drive and double click on the
file pcpro3-1-0-0.exe. The following screens will appear.


- Read the Software License
Agreement and click Yes.



- The following screen will
appear.

- Then the following screen
will appear.

- Either select Machine Name
or IP Address for the Policy Central Professional
Administrative Console. Click OK.


- Enter and confirm the
password that you want to designate for the Policy Central
Professional Administrative Console. Click OK.

- If you leave the password
blank (empty set), the following screen will appear. To enter
a password click Yes. To leave the password blank (empty set)
click No.


- Re-boot the computer.
- After re-booting the
computer, share the PCClient folder (which includes the Policy
Central Professional Client installation files) from the
following: C:\Program Files\Security Software Systems\PCServer\PCClient
to all Client machines.
NOTE: For NT/2000/XP machines, you must have administrative
privileges for Policy Central to install properly. For
peer-to-peer networks, client and server must both be in the
same workgroup.

Client:

Shut down or exit all running applications, including virus

- Open the PCClient folder that has been shared.
- On each client machine, double click on
SETUP.EXE.

- After the program
installation is complete, you must restart your computer.
Click Finish.

NOTE: For NT/2000/XP machines, you must have administrative
privileges for Policy Central to install properly. For
peer-to-peer networks, client and server must both be in the
same workgroup.
