The
CSClient is started when the PC boots or when the
user logs on.
The CSClient can be configured to Active or
Stealth mode from the CSServer machine. In Active mode, the user knows that Cyber Sentinel
Network is running by an icon in the system tray and
a Prohibited Area screen when a violation occurs. When
configured to Stealth mode, the user does not know
that Cyber Sentinel Network is running, no icon is
displayed in the system tray and no violation
screen is displayed.
All CSClient configuration is done on the CSServer
machine, there are no configuration settings that
can be done on the CSClient or from a remote
location.
From
the CSServer machine, the
CSClient can be configured to block specified
sites, take screen captures of violations,
close the application on detection of a violation
or any combination of these actions.
If the CSClient is configured for capture mode,
the captures are sent to, and stored on the
CSServer machine. The screen captures can only be
accessed from the CSServer machine and no screen
captures are stored on the CSClient.
The CSClient can only be disabled through the
CSServer machine. The administrator can set a
time limit for Cyber Sentinel Network to be
disabled. Once the time limit expires,
Cyber Sentinel Network reactivates to the
defined profile.
