time of violation, the violating application and the

Screen

browsing the Internet, writing sexually explicit
e-mails, instant messaging or composing a document.

| Library
Management: |
It
allows the administrator to add his own
defined restrictive word or disable any
violating word.
Library restricting words can have two
types:
1. Embedded: Here if the restricted word
is a part of a whole word then to the
user will be prompt as violating.
Ex.
If 'Can' was embedded, then the word
'Canada' would trigger because 'Can' was
contained inside 'Canada'.
2. Non-embedded: In this case whole word
is taken into consideration and not a
part of it.
Ex. If 'Can' was non-embedded, then the
word 'Canada' would not trigger. It
would trigger only if it sees the word
'Can' by itself.
The
administrator
can use this opportunity to keep a track
of anyone using his credit card number
too.
NOTE:
Security Software Systems does not give
away the word list for any built in
libraries. However if you have a
persistent problem with a word you can
disable it the disable word list.
|
| Internet Configuration: |
Internet
Configuration allows setting an Internet
filter on the visiting Internet sites
and list of services to block.
In Internet site filtering, the administrator
can set a list of sites to allow or
block for a user.
|
| Internet
Time management: |
Internet
time management allows configuring
Internet access time. This feature does
not stop users from dialing the
Internet, it only disallows access to
Internet services (i.e. a user dials in
to the Internet, they connect fine, but
when they go to check their mail, or
search the web, they are denied access).
The administrator can set the Internet
surfing time for any user to avoid
unnecessary network traffic during
office hours.
NOTE:
In America Online the user will still be
able to use AOL, but will not have
access to the web and other Internet
services when the Internet is disabled
due to time management.
|
| Special
Rights: |
The
administrator can set the time period
during which a user can have special
rights:
1.
Disable: The engine will be disabled and
the user will not be restricted from doing
anything.
2. Close: When this right is granted the
user can close the engine by clicking
the option in the floating menu at the
system tray.
3. Uninstall: Will grant the
uninstallation rights to a user.
|
| Password: |
The
administrator can set a new password for
starting the main console using this
dialog.
NOTE: This feature is available only on
the machine which has server installed.
